Double Claw Clip Up-Do: A Fun and Easy Hairstyle for Any Occasion

Start by parting your hair horizontally to create two sections. Use a comb to carefully section off the top half of your hair at the crown of your head, gathering it into a high ponytail. Secure it with a hair tie or elastic to keep it in place ( these are my favourite hair ties).

Then, take the remaining hair below and gather it into a separate ponytail, securing it tightly with another elastic.

You should now have two roughly equal sized ponytails to work with.

Working with each ponytail individually, take the top one first and start twisting it gently. Once you've twisted it all the way down, wrap the twisted hair around its base to form a neat bun. Use bobby pins if needed to secure any loose ends. Now comes the fun part! Take the first of your claw clips and position it strategically to hold the top bun in place. If you follow me, you know I love floral claw clips so that's what I've used in this tutorial. Here are links to some fun plumeria clips and regular flower clips.

Next, repeat the same process with the bottom ponytail, twisting and creating a bun at the nape of your neck. Secure it with the second claw clip. It is best to position and secure the top ponytail with the clip before the bottom one to allow for adjustment of height.

Play around with the spacing of the clips. I prefer to have them close together for this style. However, I do have fine hair so preferences will differ with differing hair types.

The double claw clips add a stylish touch to the up-do while providing a secure hold that lasts all day. Feel free to experiment with different clip styles and colours that complement your outfit and personal style.
