Tools and materials:
- Hair brush
- Claw clip
- Hair tie
- Headband
1. Section your hair and make a low ponytail
Separate the top section of your hair and clip it up in a temporary bun with a claw clip.
Tie a low ponytail with the rest of your hair, from the base of your neck.
2. Make a braid with the top section
Let down the top section of hair and make a braid. Tie off this braid with a hair elastic once you reach the length of the ponytail below.
3. Pull the ponytail through
Make an opening with your fingers inside the braid, above the elastic.
Pull the ponytail up, through the gap of the braid. Pull the hair underneath to tighten it.
4. Finishing touches
Pinch and pull gently at the sections of the braid to add more volume.
To polish off the look, add a statement headband if you’d like. Here’s the final, holiday-ready hairstyle:
