If you're not filling in and shading your brows, you're missing out on highlighting your eyes and the upper part of your face, which we really want to emphasize.

In this eyebrows for older women tutorial, I’m going to show you how to fill in mature eyebrows.

Tools and materials:

  • Brow wax
  • Spoolie
  • Matte eyeshadow
  • Angled brush
Rubbing spoolie in wax

1. Rub spoolie in wax

The first thing to do is to use some brow wax.

Activate your brow wax with some setting spray or warm water, then grab a spoolie brush, and rub it over the wax to activate it.

Coating brows

2. Coat brows with wax

Use the brow wax by coating your brows down first. Then go back and brush the brow wax up and over to tame those brows.

Filling brows in

3. Fill in brows

If your brows are very light and hard to see, shade and fill them in slightly.

Grab one of your brown matte eyeshadows and an angled brush, tap your angled brush right into your eyeshadow, and then decide where you need to fill in or line on your brows.

The eyeshadow sticks to the brow wax and sets it.

Brushing eyeshadow through

4. Brush eyeshadow in

Take the spoolie and brush the eyeshadow right into your brows.

My left brow (right on your side) just has brow wax on it, and the right one is shaded in and lined with some eyeshadow.
