How to Elevate Your Wardrobe for Fall & Winter

In this style guide, I’m going to show you how to elevate your fall wardrobe.

If you’re not sure how to style basic pieces and then take them up a notch, I have just what you need!

Statement coat

1. Statement coat

First up, I’m styling a black bodycon dress with a high neck.

I love these types of dresses for fall because they create a blank canvas that you can then elevate in different ways.

For footwear, I opted for a pair of ankle booties in a nude color.

I’m elevating this outfit with my outerwear piece, which is a super unique trench coat - I love the color block play on it.

Throwing a statement coat or jacket over a neutral base is a great way to elevate your look.

I always say that your outerwear is the most important part of your outfit when it comes to fall.

Plaid skirt

2. Plaid skirt

Here, I'm styling a black high-neck long-sleeve top with a plaid maxi skirt. I'm a big fan of skirts for fall and think they have a very playful feminine feel.

To accessorize, I added a fun chain belt in a three-tier style, which adds a nice chic touch to the look.

The black beret hat also accessories the look while keeping your head warm at the same time.

A pair of black booties with a gold buckle detail on the side finish off the look.

Bright outerwear

3. Bright outerwear

Next up, I’m styling a pair of denim jeans with a simple black top.

On my feet, I’m wearing a pair of shiny black loafers that instantly elevate the base outfit.

Like the first look, the hero piece here is going to be the outerwear piece, and I’m wearing a bright, bold pink pea coat, which adds a pop of color to the look.

Metallic boots

4. Metallic boots

Last up, I’m styling a long denim skirt with a black top. I’m elevating the outfit with the footwear - a pair of silver metallic boots that instantly dress up the look. I also added a belt to define my waist.

For outerwear, I added a black cropped jacket that has some fringe in the front in a silver metallic style. The jacket adds another trendy touch to this look. A black snakeskin print clutch finishes off the look.
