Easy Half-up Twist Bun Hairstyle Tutorial
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you a half-up twist hairstyle that is really easy to achieve. Follow along as I take you through step by step.
Tools and materials:
- Hair elastic
- Bobby pins
1. Section hair
Part your hair down the center, and then take a small section of hair on one side at the top of your head.
2. Twist hair
Twist the hair until you get about halfway down.
3. Repeat and tie sections together
Repeat on the other side and then tie the two twists together with an elastic.
The hair should be tied up on the top of your head and not go down any further.
4. Tie half-ponytail
Now create a high half-ponytail with the rest of your hair, including the small ponytail you’ve already created.
5. Twist the hair
Split the ponytail into two and twist the two sides around each other.
6. Pull out braid
Slightly pull out the braid to make it more voluminous.
7. Create bun
Wrap the ponytail at the top of your head to turn it into a bun. Pin the bun when you get to the end to keep it secure.

I love all of the different components of this look - the two twisted sections at the front, the hair sweeping upwards at the sides, and the twisted high bun.
This is such a pretty and unique look which is great if you’re looking for something different.
