How to Do a Super Cute Twisted Updo

Hey guys! I’m going to show you how to make a simple, twisted updo.
This is perfect for going to work or school, or even just running errands if you want a cute hairstyle to wear out.
This hairstyle works on curly hair, straight hair, wavy hair. It’s perfect for everybody.
Tools and materials:
- Bobby pins
- Hair ties
1. Start with a one inch section
Start at the top of your head and take about a one inch section and divide it into two equal strands.
Take your top section and twist it underneath your bottom section. You’re going to want to make sure you’re twisting tight the entire time.
2. Add in small sections to each side
Add in a small section of hair from the top of your head and combine it with the top section.
Take a small section of hair by the bottom section and add that to the bottom section.
Now take the top section and twist it over the bottom section nice and tight.
Then, again, add a small section of hair to the top section and a small section of hair to the bottom strand and twist the top over the bottom. The key is to take small sections of hair.
3. Switch hands
Keep going until you get to the top of your ear. Once you’re by the top of your ear you’re going to switch hands.
If you keep going down it would create a bubble. We don’t want a bubble because it would look silly. The hand that was holding the bottom strand is now going to be holding the top strand.
Make sure you’re still holding them tight. The hand that was holding the top strand is now going to be holding the bottom one.
You’re still doing the same motion, you’re just switching up the hand placement.
4. Repeat the steps till you finish
Continue adding in small sections of hair to each section and twisting.
5. Use a hair tie to tie off the twist
Once you have twisted it all the way to the bottom of the back of your head, take a clear elastic and tie off the twist nice and tight.
Your hair is going to loosen up a little bit when you tie it off with an elastic, but that’s okay because we’re going to fix that.
Before that, you’re going to gather all of your hair, combine it with the twist and make a bun at the nape of the neck.
6. Make a twisted bun
Make a twisted bun, twisting it and wrapping the hair around the bun. Put some bobby pins in the bun to secure it.
7. Tighten and secure with bobby pins
To tighten the twists that loosened go back in with some bobby pins and tighten the twist where you need to.
You’re going to take the bobby pin and push it down into the twist.
This will keep the twist sturdy and push it a little flatter against your head.
8. Finishing touches
The next step is optional. You can take some hairspray and spray your hairstyle. Then pull on the twists a little to enhance the effect.
If any twists come undone, just push a bobby pin in there. Now you can go around and pull out some hair if you want it to look a little looser.
Pancake your bun and do whatever you have to do to get everything looking just the way you like.
Cute twisted updo
That is it! This is the simplest hairstyle and it is so cute. It can be worn casually or dressed up.
I love that it’s got a lot of texture and personality but is so easy to make.

Unfortunately, moat of these hair styles are demonstrated and work much better if you have thicker hair....for those of us who have thinner & finer hair, it's challenging and often doesn't come up looking very good....it would be nice to see more ideas for hairstyles for those of us that don't have the thicker hair.
Thank you...
Awesome 😀
