3 Bangs & Glasses Hairstyles That Are Super-Cute & Easy to Do
Hey, guys! Ever since my tutorial on how to cut and style bangs, I’ve been getting a lot of questions from girls wondering, “Do bangs look good with glasses?”. My answer is a hundred percent yes! You can definitely wear bangs with glasses and I think it looks really cute. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you guys three different bangs and glasses hairstyles. Let’s jump into it.
Tools and materials:
- Hair ties
Hairstyle 1
One of the biggest issues I’ve found with hairstyles with glasses and bangs is that there’s so much going on at the top of your head. It’s really busy and crowded, so I like to take a bit of weight off of that area. To do that, we’re going to make a very simple half-updo.
1. Pull the top part of your hair back
Take hair from the top part of your head and pull it back, leaving a few front-framing pieces. This helps take away some of the volume from the top part of your hair.
2. Twist the ponytail
Twist the ponytail around your finger once or twice.
3. Push it up and pin
Push it up a little to give your hair a bit of a bump and then pin it down with bobby pins.
Here’s the finished hairstyle. As you can see, it looks a lot lighter in the top area and it doesn’t look like there’s as much going on as it does when my hair is down. This is a really easy trick you can use to reduce clutter.
Hairstyle 2
This hairstyle is one of my personal favorites. I feel like most girls with bangs just rock a top knot so much better than girls without bangs. A top knot is a super simple hairstyle and is super easy and quick to do in the mornings, and it looks so good with bangs and glasses.
1. Pull hair into a ponytail
Pull all of your hair up into a high ponytail. I always like to make my top knots a bit more on the messier side, but if you prefer a neat top knot, then feel free to do a tighter one. Tie off with a hair tie and pull out a few pieces of hair from the side to frame your face.
2. Section your hair
Divide your ponytail into two sections.
3. Wrap and pin
Wrap each section around each other loosely, and then wrap them around the base of the ponytail. Pin with bobby pins.
4. Tug and adjust where needed
Tug and adjust the bun to make it big and messy.
Here’s the finished hairstyle. Again, this is super simple and quick and very cute.
Hairstyle 3
This hairstyle is a lot easier to do on hair that has a little bit of texture, which is why I’m working on curled hair today.
1. Twist the ends of your hair
Gather all of your hair at the nape of your neck and pull down just a little until you can grab your ends. Then give them a little twist.
Twist them into a small bun.
2. Flip and pin
Flip the small bun underneath your hair.
Then, pin the bun to the nape of your neck. Use as many bobby pins as you need to make this feel secure.
3. Tug and adjust where needed
Tug at the sides a little bit or just tug wherever you feel like you need a little bit more length.
Now you have a cute, faux bob! This works on the principle of removing extra weight from the hair. Even though this is a lighter look than having long hair, it’s still a bit more top-heavy, but I think it looks really cute.
Plus it’s perfect for the winter months because you can bundle up underneath a thick scarf with this hairstyle and it looks great with bangs and glasses.
