The DIY Boot Top Bag Refashion Tutorial

2 Hours
Easy

My beauteous boho boots refashion looks awesome but I still had the chopped tops leftover:

Check out what I came up with and created from those leftover boot tops:

A fabulous beatnik bag!

Here’s how you can make one for yourself:

I snagged the chopped boot tops and a coordinating necktie.

Then sliced off that rather annoying fringe (I used it to create this).

I then placed one on top of the other and trimmed off the uneven edges.

I grabbed one boot top and centered the necktie around the edges with the right sides facing.

And stitched it on.

Making sure to twist the tie around the edges to create tight corners.

Then zigzagged the edges for extra strength.

And repeated the process with the remaining boot top on the other side of the tie.

Then flipped the bag right side out and stitched the ends of the tie together to complete the fancy new strap.

And finally, I added a quick button closure to finish off my groovy new bag!

Love it!
