Place the wheel part in the top of the container and screw them together. Then you can melt the ingredients and pour it into the mold.

Then when it sets up, snap the top into the bottom piece. Finally, unscrew the lid, and it should look as good as new.

You can reuse your containers are using up the balm or buy empty sphere containers to use.

Personally, I don't bother refilling the containers. I'm all about reducing and reusing, but the oils make them hard to clean.

How to Flavor DIY EOS Lip Balm Recipe

I made mine a vanilla homemade EOS lip balm recipe, but you can make your own flavor. Here are some ideas to try:

  • Essential Oils. For a natural flavor, try using essential oils. Be sure that you use skin safe essential oils and don't use more than 0.5 to 1 percent dilution. Use an essential oil dilution chart to calculate.
  • Candy Flavoring. You can also use candy flavor oils like LorAnn flavor oils. These work really well and have a variety of flavors.
  • Flavor Oils. You can also use flavor oils. These can be used for lip products and are available in a variety of fun flavors.
  • Absolutes. Cocoa absolute and vanilla absolute can also be used.
