How to Put Shells in Your Hair for the Mermaidcore Look
Hey everyone.
Today, I want to show you how to put shells in your hair for the mermaidcore look.
This is a great way to take your hairstyle from ordinary to extraordinary. All you’ll need are some seashells and some hairpins.
Tools and materials:
- Bobby pins
- Hairpins
- Seashells
- Comb or brush
1. Style your hair
Start by styling your hair. Brush it out and part it down the middle.
Take a section of hair from one side of your face and twist it from the root to the end.
Pull the twist towards the back of your head and secure it in place with a bobby pin.
2. Create your shell clips
In order to get the shells ready to add to your hairstyle you need to create a clip for each of them.
Take a hairpin and stick one end through the shell so it is at the end of the hairpin.
Then twist the two sides of the hairpin together a couple of times to secure the shell to the hairpin.
3. Add shell clips to hair
Take one of your shell clips and stick it into the twist by inserting the ends into the hair and pushing the hairpin in place.
Do this all along the twist.
