Glue a Thrifted Quilt to Your Jeans and Fall in Love With the Results
Glue a thrifted quilt to your jeans and fall in love with the results.
I’m going to show you how to make some adorable accents on a pair of plain and boring jeans.
Grab your jeans and thrifted quilt and let’s get crafting!
Best fabric glue!
Tools and materials:
- Paper
- Scissors
- Jeans
- Quilt
1. Create your cut-out shape
Take some paper and scissors and make your cut-out shape. I’m going to make a heart.
To make a heart, fold the paper in half, and draw half a heart along the folded edge. Cut out the heart with your scissors.
2. Trace and cut
Lay the heart down on your quilt and cut a square around the heart. Figure out where you want to make the patchwork on your jeans.
Then lay your heart on your jeans, trace and cut out a heart shape.
3. Glue in the patch
Turn your jeans inside out and grab your glue gun. Apply hot glue around the edges of the heart.
Lay the quilt cut-out face down and press on it to glue it to the jeans.
Cut off any extra fabric once the glue has dried. Turn your jeans the right way out and admire your work.
DIY heart jeans
I love this fun patchwork look. Best of all, this project doesn’t require any sewing and is incredibly easy to create.
