How to Make Cute "Among Us" Inspired DIY Earrings With Polymer Clay
Today I wanted to show you how I made these super cute DIY Among Us earrings. Yes, I made them in every color! Best of all, you can make them too, right at home.
I hope this tutorial gives you some inspiration for how you can create DIY earrings out of polymer clay and get inspired by your favorite characters or games.
Tools and materials:
- Colored polymer clay
- White polymer clay
- Black polymer clay
- Eye pins
- Earring hooks
- Pliers
- Mod Podge
- Brush
1. Make a ball
Shape red polymer clay into a ball using your fingers.
2. Flatten the ball
Use your fingers to gently press down on the ball to flatten it.
3. Carve a groove
Slice the side of the flattened circle with a toothpick. Then, gently use the toothpick to carve out a groove in the bottom.
4. Shape another piece
Shape a smaller piece of clay into a flattened circle.
5. Stick the pieces together
Use the tip of a toothpick to roughen the surface of both pieces of clay. This will help you stick the pieces together
Attach the smaller piece of clay to the larger piece just above the groove you created earlier by pressing them together
6. Add white clay
Shape out a tiny piece of white clay into an oval and affix it to the center of the larger red piece of clay from earlier.
Adjust as needed.
7. Add black clay
Shape out black clay into a long thin strand.
Wrap the thin black strand around the white piece of clay.
8. Add the eye pin
Insert an eye pin into the top of the clay using a pair of pliers.
9. Bake
Repeat with as many colors as you would like. Feel free to get creative! Then, bake the polymer clay according to the packet instructions.
10. Attach the earring hooks
Use pliers to attach an earring hook to the eye pin that you inserted into the clay earlier.
11. Apply Mod Podge
Apply Mod Podge to each earring. This will seal everything and add a glossy finish.
