How to Wear Leather Leggings Multiple Ways

First, my leggings are from Target. As much as I would have loved to buy the SPANX leather leggings, my wallet was begging me not to, so I went and found a much more affordable option. I cannot speak to the quality of the Target leggings compared to the SPANX ones but I will say, I am very pleased. I have worn them multiple times and they are very comfortable. They are not see through and have a high waist band. I would also say, they do not suck you in as much as I would like but maybe if I sized down it could help but then again, that could also make them see through. I would suggest sticking with your true sizing.

Okay, on to styling. I have styled the leggings two ways: one casual and one dressy option. For both options, I started with a basic look and then added pieces to make the outfit even better. This is one trick with anything you do. Get your basics and then layer and/or add accessories and BAM, your outfit will be on point. For the casual look, I started with the leggings and added a long tunic top and sneakers. This look is super simple and easy to put together and I am sure most of you have these pieces in your closet.

After the basic look was achieved, I started to add additional pieces. Since this look was a simple, easy, casual look, I added a denim jacket and scarf for layers. Doing this allows to add dimension to the outfit without being over the top. Of course, you don't need the scarf unless it is chilly where you live. Also, you can add a baseball cap in addition (for those bad or dirty hair days) or just add the hat and no scarf. Possibilities with the easy look are endless. One of my all time favorites would be a simple over sized sweatshirt, sneakers and a stack of bracelets.

Now for the more dressier option, I decided to bring out my favorite boots and a new sweater I recently got. Both of these items are from Amazon and I could not be more excited about them. The Over The Knee (OTK) boots were such a steal! There are so many options for OTK boots out there but again, not in my price range until these! These are 1/4 of the price of others I have seen at just $50!! I mean that sounds like a lot as well, but they are great quality and will last! I wore mine so much last year and they are still holding up great. And for the sweater, this is a new sweater I recently got and it is great! It is very very soft and thick which will allow for me to stay warm here in NJ! It is also the most perfect mustard color!

Again, the same rules apply to this look as they do with the casual look. Layer and/or add accessories. With the dressier option, I decided to re-use the scarf from above and add a hat. Hats are also something you might be seeing all over the internet. I sometimes still feel weird wearing one but it adds such a statement to a simple outfit. Adding layers to your look, will change it without trying to hard. Below, I wore the scarf as a poncho rather than around my neck since the sweater already has a turtleneck.
