Best heat protectant spray!
Tools and materials:
- Root boost product
- Texturizing spray
- Heat protectant spray
- Hairdryer
- 2 alligator clips
- Hair straightener
- Mirrors
- Hairspray
1. Boost your roots
Spray root product onto your hair. Focus the product at your scalp by lifting sections of hair before you spray.
Use your fingers to massage the product into your roots.
2. Apply texturizing spray
Apply texturizing spray to your hair. Massage this into your roots as well. This will give the hair more grip for styling.
3. Apply heat protectant
Use a heat protectant spray.
4. Dry your hair
Dry your hair with a blow dryer and a brush.
Flip your hair and make sure you hit the roots with heat.
To minimize heat damage, concentrate mostly on the roots. You can let the length of your hair air dry. I was shocked at the amount of volume:
5. Section your hair
Section your hair into quarters. Clip up 2 sections from the top. Split the rest of the hair in half and bring each to either side of your face.
6. Curl by section in alternating directions
Curl the front pieces with a hair straightener set to 340.
Remove 1 clip and split that hair into 2.
Curl in alternating directions.
Start the curl lower on the face-framing pieces, curling them away from your face. Repeat the process on the other side of your face.
Don’t forget to curl the back! Use another mirror to help you.
Be sure to “marry” the sections together by grabbing a bit of hair from each side and curling them together.
7. Loosen the curls
Shake out the curls with your fingers to loosen and separate them.
8. Add hairspray
Prolong your volume by applying hairspray.
Here’s the final look:
