You may have post workout hair, but at least you can make it cute!

This is my go-to style for hot summer days. It's perfect for medium to long hair and quick to do if you leave out the curls.

Tools and materials:

  • Brush
  • Comb
  • Small claw clip
  • Curling tongs (optional)
  • Hairspray (optional)
Sectioning hair

1. Section

Brush your hair out, away from your face.

Place your fingers at your temples and slide them backwards.

Section off the front part of your hair in the center.

Clipping hair

2. Clip

Place a small claw clip over the sectioned hair, about 2 inches back. Keep hold of the tail of your hair with your other hand.

Twisting hair

3. Twist

Bring the tail of your hair forward over your index finger and under the front of the clip.

Twisting hair

Take the piece of hair round to the back of the clip and secure it there.

Twisting hair

Leave the tail free.

Fluffing hair

4. Fluff it up

Use your fingers to pull out the loop of hair in the clip, giving it more volume.

Fluffing hair

Keep working it until you’re happy with the result.

Curling hair

5. Curl

Optionally, use curling tongs to add some loose waves to your hair.

If you’re short of time or too hot, you can skip this step.

For more volume, add a little hairspray.

This style works just as well with or without bangs but keeping your hair off your face feels so much cooler.

Yay for fast, casual styles that keep you looking cute all summer!
