I love wearing my hair in a bun and am always on the lookout for new bun styles.

Here, I’m going to show you my go-to hairstyle for days 4-7 hair. No matter what state your hair is in, it will look great when tied up like this. Let’s jump on in!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair tie
Creating a bun

1. Create a bun

Start by putting your hair in a high ponytail.

Wrap the elastic around once, then twice, and on the third time, just pull a small loop through and then tighten it up at the base.

Neatening the bun

2. Neaten the bun

From there, go to the back. Take the strands that are closest to the base of the head and gently pull on them.

That gives a little more shape to the bun and pulls it in a little bit.

Wrapping up the back

3. Wrap up the back

Gather all of the hair that is hanging down at the back, wrap it up, and tuck it into the hair elastic.

If you have any stray hairs sticking out at the back, take a bobby pin and pin them in.

Here is the finished look, I have a gorgeous high-bun with the hair flared out on the top of my head and neatly tucked away at the back.

I adore this hairstyle and hope you do too! If so, leave a comment.
