Protective Hairstyle Starts With 2 Braids
Hey guys! I’m so excited to show you how to make this gorgeous, classy-looking version of a black headband hairstyle.
This is a great look for an event. It’s perfect for summer. It’ll keep you nice and cool with all your hair pulled neatly back.
Tools and materials:
- Headband
- Bobby pins
- Hair elastics
1. Start with two braids
Part your hair down the middle and tie off some pigtails at the back of your head by the nape of your neck. Then braid each one.
2. Pin a braided bun
Use as many bobby pins as you need to create your braided bun.
Start with one braid, loop it around the other, and create a circle with it pinning and securing it in place as you go.
Then take the other braid and wind it around the first, pinning that one in place as well.
3. Add a headband
I love to style this look with a fancy black headband. It just looks so sophisticated.
But the truth is you can use any headband you like and let it change the vibe to meet your style.
Place the headband about an inch behind your hairline, leaving some hair in front to frame your face.
Protective braided hairstyle
I would totally wear my hair this way to a wedding or a formal party. It looks so regal.
Give it a try and leave me a comment to let me know if you love it too.
