Tools and materials:

Picking bandana

1. Pick your bandana

Any color will do! I’m going with this purple paisley design.

Cutting bandana

2. Cut it into strips

Cut your bandana into even strips. I cut around nine strips out of mine.

Applying glue

3. Apply glue to the straps

Apply glue to the front straps of the shoes.

E6000 glue

I used this E6000 glue.

Wrapping bandana

4. Wrap the bandana around half of the front strap

Wrap the bandana around one side of the front strap.

Wrapping bandana

As you can see here, I pulled the bandana through the buckle loop to hold onto it for later.

Wrapping bandana

5. Wrap the other side of the strap and tie the ends together

Use a new bandana strip to wrap around the other side of the buckle, then tie the two ends together in a bow.

6. Finish wrapping the sandals

Wrap the rest of the sandals the same way. If there’s a buckle dividing a strap, use a new strip of the bandana and then tie the two strips together in a bow.
