Do you love the look of vintage Levi, but you don’t want to pay $70 for a pair? In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make vintage Levi shorts.

Tools and materials:

  • Pair of jeans
  • Scissors
  • Fork
Cutting jeans

1. Cut your jeans

Get a pair of old jeans or jeans you thrifted and cut them into shorts that are your desired length.

Distressing hem

2. Distress the hem

Use a fork to pull at the rough, cut edge of the shorts to distress and fray them.

Adding holes

3. Add distressed holes

To add distressed holes, cut a slit into them using scissors and then use the same fork technique to fray around the slit.

Distressing denim

Drag the fork horizontally across the hole instead of going around it for an easier time.
