This silver eye makeup look is great for a night out when you don’t want to wear a ton of eye makeup, but still want to be eye-catching.

I’ll show you how to achieve this look, and how to create holographic lashes the night before you go out. Let’s get right into it!

Tools and materials:

  • Eye makeup stick
  • Metallic eyeshadow
  • Black eyeliner
  • Glitter glue
  • Holographic glitter
  • False lashes
  • Mascara
  • Eyelash curler
  • Makeup brushes
Applying eyeliner

1. Apply a winged liner

For the eyeshadow base, I’m using a magnetic eye stick.

Our party eye makeup is going to be very simple—just a winged liner with some eyeshadow on top.

Draw on the wing with the eye stick; this is going to be the base for our eyeshadow to stick to.

2. Elongate and soften the shape

Use a small brush to soften and elongate the shape of the wing so you don’t have to apply a ton of product.

Spread out the liner to cover the length of your eye from the inner corner to the outer edge.

Keep it thicker on the outer edge and thinner as you get to the inner corner.

3. Create a longer wing

With some of the eyeliner on the brush, pull out from the outer corner to create a longer wing.

If you have hooded eyes, feel free to keep this more rounded.

4. Pat a metallic eyeshadow over the eyeliner

Getting into the silver smokey eye makeup, we’re going with a metallic titanium shade for our eyeshadow pick.

Tap that shade right on top of the eyeshadow stick that you’ve already laid down.

If you work quickly, the eyeliner should still be just tacky enough for the eyeshadow to stick to.

5. Swipe over the eyeshadow

Once you’ve patted the color down, swipe over it.

This is going to give you the most metallic finish because it lays the particles flat and makes them super reflective.

6. Line your water line

Apply a black coal eyeliner to your bottom and top waterlines. You can also use a metal gray shade, but I like the contrast of the blackness.

If you’re nervous about doing your upper waterline, blink softly on the tip while you move your hand from left to right.

You can also close your lid and run your pencil back and forth. This way you won’t poke yourself in the eye.

7. Apply the titanium eyeshadow beneath the lower lashes

Run that same titanium shade close to the root of the lower eyelashes.

Make sure there’s no gap between the eyeliner and the eyeshadow.

Applying mascara

8. Apply a light layer of mascara

Curl your lashes and apply a light layer of mascara.

If you’re applying falsies, I recommend curling them first because it’s easier to apply false lashes to pre-curled lashes.

Applying glitter glue to lashes

9. Apply glitter glue to your lashes

The lashes I’m using for this look go underneath your natural lashes.

I did a mixture of small, medium, and large full glam lashes and cut them into smaller sections so I had more flexibility in where I placed them.

To get the perfect lashes to complement our silver glitter smokey eye makeup look, start by coating the outer side of the lashes with glitter glue.

Brush the glitter glue on from root to tip.

10. Apply glitter to the lashes

Gently dab the glue-covered lash into the holographic glitter. Try and coat it from the base to the tip.

This will make your lashes look thicker and more spidery, but you can comb through them before the glue completely dries.

Leave them to dry overnight.

Adding false lashes

11. Place the false lashes

I placed one large eyelash section onto the outer corner of my eyelashes and two medium sections right next to it.

They will appear spidery this close-up, but from a distance, they’ll only give an intense finish to the lash line.

Notice I didn’t take them across the lash line, and stopped near the middle of the eye for a more winged shape.

If you have any gaps, you can cut a tiny lash from the ribbon, coat it in glitter, and pop it in.

Here’s the finished look! This is the perfect eye makeup for a party. The holographic lashes and eyeshadow will reflect the light, and you’ll look stunning on your night out.
