Inspired by 70s America with a splash of Parisian romanticism IRO was the brainchild of brothers Arik and Laurent Bitton. There's a cool rock n roll edge to their collections, a little bit sexy yet never overtly so. Standout pieces this Autumn Winter would be their oversized peacoat, classic French jacket with an up to date twist and those incredible (but not for the faint hearted) patent leather boots.

I probably shop at Sezane more than anywhere else I just adore this incredibly chic French fashion brand. What stands out for me is their attention to detail coupled with incredible quality. And they do all that while managing to keep their prices affordable. Their blouses are like heirloom pieces I could imagine to passing down the generations and their knitwear is always so stunning I know I'll have it in my wardrobe for life. If budget is tight and you only have room for one piece I'd recommend their silk blouses. They never disappoint:)

Rouje

If you're looking for that typical French Woman chic tea dress look no further than Rouje. The label was launched by content creator Jeanne Damas back in 2016 and they've gone from strength to strength. Think cropped knitted cardigans, high waisted flares and the best collection of tea dresses on the worldwide web! Just add a red lip and voila, you're good to go;)

Sandro has a delicate charm to it I find hard to resist, it's all about the little details. A pretty lace trim here, an embroidered collar there. Even the buttons look like they've been meticulously thought through before they've been chosen. I love their silk dresses, tweed style cardigans and worryingly there's always a fair few blazers I would happily add to basket!

When it comes to more affordable French fashion look no further than La Redoute. They've been capturing the essence of French chic for decades and have a great selection for both Women, men and children. I also really love their homeward section particularly their own brand AM:PM range. We bought quite a few pieces when we did the house renovation and I thought the quality to price ratio was spot on. Definitely worth a peek.

When it comes to French handbags there's one brand that I'll always recommend, Polene Paris. I love this brand. I love their originality, their creativity to everything they do, the fact that they manage to keep their prices reasonable and yet never compromising on quality. It helps that they don't wholesale to stores enabling them to reduce their margin but the end result is you end up with a handbag that looks and feels like it should cost 5 x more. 

As you'll see in the video above I met them in their store on our recent trip to Paris and it blew me away. The attention to detail not just with their collection but the aesthetic of the store really stands out above the rest. Everything is made by artisans in Ubrique, the home of luxury leather goods and with gold hardware subtly imprinted with their logo. It's not flashy or ostentatious just beautiful handbags that ooze french chic and creativity.

I seem to veer towards either the pretty French fashion brands or those with a little rock chick vibe. The Kooples does the latter to perfection. While they do follow the fashion trends they're definitely rocking it in their own way and their pieces are often identifiable from the style alone. I love their pretty sheer dresses styled with cowboy boots and masculine belts and they always have a great selection of blazers.

An investment yes, but one worth every penny in my humble opinion. Isabel Marant just gets everything right. From her sharp shoulder jumpers and coats, to her knee high boots that stand out from the rest. It's French chic with a cool girl twist and if I was a little bit richer I'd have a whole lot more of it in my wardrobe!

A family business launched in Paris back in 1998 Maje Paris has cemented it's place amongst the accessible luxury French fashion brands. It's a little bit pretty, a little bit cool with a hint of quirky here and there. I love their tweed style blazers and cardigans that will elevate any simple jeans look.  

Classic tailoring at The Frankie Shop

Created by French native Gaelle Drevet, The Frankie Shop epitomises effortless chic. Split between NY and Paris the brand has achieved cult like status among followers. It was hard to avoid their quilted jacket on Instagram this season! But while I don't often buy into fads I do love the brand for their classics. The tailoring on their trousers is stunning, their knits are beautifully made and their shoulder padded tees and dresses work wonders for your shape.

Alexandre Mattiussi launched AMI Paris back in 2011 with a vision to blur the lines between casual and chic. Beautifully made knitwear, feminine and elegant cuts and practical yet incredibly stylish outerwear made for life.

A fashion label born out of Instagram that's popularity has proved incredible over the last couple of years. I love their sharp cut-out tops and dresses and interesting finer details that give the brand it's originality. In Summer their standouts are often pretty little dresses with quirky prints. One of the few brands that makes me want to swerve from my love of neutrals.

While Claudie Pierlot always feels young and fresh there's also a distinct 'all women' vein running through each collection. While I might avoid the bright pink minis I can never resist the beautifully made trench coats or undeniably French looking tweed blazers. I love their individual style. It's often quirky but timelessly so. Meaning when I invest in their pieces I know I'll have the pieces for life.
