Styling Hot (girl) Summer

I thought I would show a variety of ways I like to style up a classic denim cut off short. This pair are my absolute favourite, bought from The Levis Store at Cheshire Oaks a few years ago.

My first tip, being a big bottomed girl is to buy big! These are at least an inch or two bigger than my usual waist, but means they sit low and give a little more coverage.

My first look is a bohemian look, with a New Look kaftan top and some gorgeous rope sandals, bought recently from H&M

I’m excited to say those are my actual feet on the ‘Worn by you’ section for this product!

In this look I’m aiming for a degree of respectability with the addition of a hat and a neural bodysuit. I’ve replaced my slides with some pearl detail ones from Zara. This is a great holiday look, for a beach bar or a bit of shopping/ lunch out.

Bucket hat by & Other Stories

If you’re not too confident in going all out with the shorts, why not try a cover up or a kaftan?

Something like this River Island chiffon kaftan is really lightweight but can add a bit of reassurance if you’re reticent to get your legs out in full view, or you want a little protection from those rays. Kaftans are always a holiday staple for me, as you can quickly change up your look and not feel underdressed if you grab lunch or want to pop in to a shop.

This look is more of a girl next door vibe, with a French Connection gingham blouse and white Lacoste sneakers. It’s a way to feel more covered up and great for picnics and days out. I would probably pair with a rucksack or straw basket full of goodies.

This French connection top was actually bought from TK Maxx, where they have a great selection of one off pieces from this brand. I prefer to have a good rummage and shop in store, as you never know what you may find!

This is my favourite look, which I’ve opted for today. I’ve chucked over a Victoria’s Secret swimwear coverup for a bit more of an Ibiza/festival vibe and gone for a bright lip. If the sun coming out isn’t worth a party, I don’t know what is!
