This DIY is so Easy and Leaves You Looking as Pretty as a Rose
Roses are such pretty flowers, so when you add them to clothing, it makes your clothes even prettier!
Follow along and I’ll show you an easy way to make ribbon roses that you can add to any piece of clothing.
Tools and materials:
- 1 meter of red ribbon
- Sewing needle
- Red thread
- Any clothing you want to upstyle
1. Thread your needle
The first thing you need to do is thread a sewing needle with red thread.
2. Make a star
Make a knot in the end of your thread and sew one stitch into your garment, with the knot on the outside.
Now make 5 stitches in the shape of a star, with the knot in the middle.
3. Attach the ribbon
Sew one end of your ribbon to the middle of your star.
Now, using your needle, pull the other end of the ribbon under any one of the 5 stitches.
It will look like this.
Skip over the next stitch and pull your ribbon under the third stitch.
Again, skip a stitch and pull your ribbon under the next one.
Continue pulling your ribbon under every other stitch until you’ve used up all your ribbon.
You can make roses of different sizes by using ribbon of different widths.
