Having the proper clothing is not only important to your wardrobe, but your confidence as well. Confidence is a mindset, and it exudes in your personality and your outward appearance. The popular saying, “When you look good, you feel good”, is very much a true statement. It can be achieved if you have the right mindset. Today on the blog, I will discuss 3 tips on how to build confidence in your wardrobe so that you have the confidence to show up as your best self.

1. Create a Vision

The first tip in how to build confidence in your wardrobe is to create a vision. This is important because you have to envision what you look like and start showing up as her/him. What is your career, how do you dress for that career, what are your daily activities, what inspires you, etc. When you create the vision, it will make it easier to know the type of clothing you will purchase and what items to take away from your wardrobe.

2. What makes you happy

Once you have created your visionary person, the second tip on how to build confidence in your wardrobe is knowing what makes you happy! As I stated in the introduction, confidence exudes in your personality and appearance. So, think about what colors make you happy, does feminine clothing or pants suits make you happy, does going on dates make you happy. Match your clothing with your personality and lifestyle. You will see your confidence and wardrobe boost with excitement.

3. Hire a professional

Life gets busy with family, work, church, etc. and sometimes you do not have time, or you just need assistance. That is totally understandable and doable. So, my final tip for how to build confidence in your wardrobe is to hire a professional. Sometimes you just need that extra assistance for someone to bring the vision to life for you. Hiring a professional can take out all the guesswork and shopping for you. Bring your ideas, inspiration, and vision, and your professional stylist will handle the rest.
