It’s so easy on the internet to find blank jewellery and hair accessories to create your own. I saw these hair clip blanks and thought I’d decorate with some pretty coloured glass millefiori .

Epoxy resin

I use a pea sized amount of both resin and hardener and mix together well with the spatula it comes with. As it hardens within a minute or so you have to work quickly. Be careful not to get it on fingers or clothes . Wash off immediately if this happens.

Blank hair clips and beads

I decide which glass bead is best fit for the little circular space and also mix some epoxy resin. This is a two part mix and best to do in a well ventilated room as it’s a bit potent and fumey.

Glue bead

I smear some glue mixture onto hair clip well and also on bead and press it firmly into position and then repeat with the other clip and bead.

Gluing in bead

Then it’s time to let them dry firm for an hour or over night to be sure before wearing. Sometimes it takes a few days before the smell of the glue wears away.

I'm so pleased with these little pretty accessories.
