I saw these little metal hair clips with cabochon blanks to fill with your own creations on line and thought it’s a good way to use up some flower decals that I had left over from another project. These are all easily and cheaply available on line to create your own unique look.

Blank hair clips

Often a look is needed for special occasions and I can see how these might be great for wedding bridesmaid hair styles or to create a pretty yet practical way to clip hair up or out of the way.

Two part epoxy glue

I use a two part epoxy glue that is ideal for jewellery making. It is messy and involves mixing part A and part B in equal blobs sizes until well mixed ready for applying to hair clip.

Mixing two part epoxy glue

Once mixed I transfer a little to the metal dish and swirl it around the whole area ready for the rose decal to adhere to.

Add glue to clip

I also put a little glue around the base stem of rose decal.

Adding rose decal

It’s sits well into the little cup base on the hair clip. I repeat the same process for the other hair slide but use a different shade of pink rose to compliment.

Pink rose drying

I leave them to dry and harden in place.
