Simple Sun Protection...

Protecting our skin from the sun is a vital key to anti-aging! Not only do we need sunscreen, but wearing a hat is one of the simplest ways I've found to double up on my sun protection. Plus, it's a fun way to add style to your personality especially with so many choices out there.

Whenever, I put on a hat I think of the book Go Dog Go! by P.D. Eastman and the fashionable dog that continually asks the other dog if he likes her hat. I think hats are a great affordable accessory and love wearing them especially the older I get.

Someone once said "Leave everyone wondering which is the more interesting piece of work… you or your hat." What better way to leave people guessing who you are than with an amazing hat!

Bucket Hat

A popular style among fashionistas is the bucket hat. It is best recognized as a hat with a wide, downward sloping brim. Normally, it is made from heavy-duty cotton fabric. I prefer this one because it is made of straw and screams sundresses and poolside for me.

Black Trimmed Straw Hat with SPF Protection

Wearing a straw hat on a sunny day with a beautiful sundress is sure to get you noticed. Some hats like this one from Scala even offer built-in SPF protection. My favorite part about this hat is it's adjustable and even has a spot for your ponytail or bun to go through if it's that kind of day. Plus I found it at my local T.J. Maxx which is a great place to find all types of hats.

Black Cotton Sun Hat

My favorite place to wear a hat is obviously by the pool or on the beach with an adorable swimsuit. I especially love this latest one from H&M because it is so wide and floppy and is only $18.
