How to Braid a Scarf Into Hair For a Quick & Easy Summer Hairstyle

Hey, everyone. Want to know how to braid a scarf into your hair? You’re in luck. Today, I’m going to show you how to recreate this trendy french braid scarf hairstyle I’ve been seeing all over Pinterest.
This style is super cute and perfect for those summer days when you want to get your hair out of your face, but still look great. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Scarf
- Hair clips (optional)
1. Fold the scarf
Start by folding the top of the scarf down repeatedly until you’re left with a small, folded strip like this.
Then, fold it in half.
2. Create three sections with the scarf and your hair
Grab a section of hair on the top of your head and place the center of the scarf behind it. This gives you three sections: The first half of the scarf, your hair, and the second half of the scarf.
3. French braid the scarf into your hair
Start a regular three-strand braid, so the two scarf strands are the two rightmost sections. Then, add more hair to your hair section. We’re adding hair to this section because it’s at the end.
Continue three-strand braiding. Each time you complete a step of the braid, add more hair to the section end you’re about to cross over the middle section. Braid all the way down.
4. Tie the scarf around the sections to secure
Once you’re at the end of the braid, separate your hair section from the scarf sections, and then tie the scarf around your hair to secure the braid.
5. Tuck away any hair that has fallen out
If you’re like me, and you have your hair in layers, some pieces of your hair might have already fallen out, so just tuck those stray hairs back into your braid. You can use a hair clip if necessary.
