7 Quick and Easy Hairstyles for Dirty Hair
I’m going to show you some really easy and cute hairstyles for dirty hair that you haven’t washed in several days.
To see how I prepared my hair for each of these lazy day hairstyles, check out the timestamps 0:12-1:49! Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Pony-O
- Ponyfull
- Brush
- Hair scarves
- Hair accessories
Hairstyle 1: Pony-O Ponytail
The first look I love to wear is a ponytail, and I’m going to show you two different tools that you can use for a fluffier ponytail.
The first tool is called a Pony-O. It’s a silicone ring that you use two fingers to pull your hair through, then you flatten it, spread your hair across it, and then fold both ends down.
There’s a bit of a learning curve with this but once you figure it out, it’s really awesome.
They also have bling rings that are magnetic that you can wear on top to dazzle it up.
Because I have some thinning on the sides, I fill those sections in with a scalp foundation.
You can also use a matte shadow and a densely packed brush.
Here’s the finished look. It’s super simple but super cute.
Hairstyle 2: Ponyfull ponytail
Another ponytail tool is the Ponyfull. I have mixed feelings about this but here’s how you use it.
Put your hair in a regular ponytail, but don’t wrap the elastic too many times around the base of the ponytail.
Leave the elastic a tiny bit looser than you normally would, then take the Ponyfull stopper and insert it into the elastic.
The hair sits over it and puffs up.
Let me know what you think of this and if you like it or not.
There’s something very 90s about this look, and I love the 90s, but I don’t feel 100% confident when I’m wearing the Ponyfull.
Still, this is a great option if you want to puff up your ponytail.
Hairstyle 3: Slick bun
This lazy day hairstyle is very popular in the celebrity world right now and it couldn’t be easier. It’s a very slick mid-head bun.
What I like to do is add a bit of styling cream to get rid of flyaways and then simply put my hair in a mid-head ponytail.
Next, I do a rope-braided bun. You can achieve this by splitting your ponytail in half and twisting both sides in the same direction.
Then twist the twists together but in the opposite direction. Secure with a tiny and stretchy elastic.
Pinch out a bit of texture, then secure it with bobby pins. Finish off with hairspray.
If your hair is longer than mine, this will look way better but it still works on a shorter hair length. Touch up your scalp if you like and you’re done.
Hairstyle 4: Scarf bow
This next hairstyle for unwashed hair is a bit extra, but I still love it.
This look is great for the summer, especially during the festival season, and it also looks really cute with a swimsuit on the beach.
Just take two scarves and tie them together. Then tie a bow at the front of your head and tuck in the ends by twisting them.
I know this look isn’t for everyone, but I think it’s adorable!
Hairstyle 5: Scarf bun
Here’s a second way to tie a scarf that’s more comfortable for people who aren’t so extravagant.
For this wrap, tie the scarves together the same way you did before but now twist both sections in one direction.
Then, twist the sections together in the opposite direction. This is just like the rope braid we did previously.
Then, just twist the twists in on themselves into a little bun and tuck in the ends.
This is a toned-down version of the previous look. It's a great option if you want to jazz up your look but you’re not quite as extra as me.
Hairstyle 6: Low pony
This next easy, lazy hairstyle is one that I often resort to because it’s super easy, chic, and pretty current.
Just part your hair down the middle and put it into a nice, low, and very slick ponytail.
I love accessorizing on one side of this and the sky is the limit here. Just add a cluster of accessories to one side of the part.
Some people love leaving face-framing pieces on the front of this pony, but I find it doesn’t look as great when the hair is dirty.
Here’s the finished look. It’s so simple, but I feel my prettiest when my hair is in this look.
Hairstyle 7: Double-pony bun
This hack is the coolest of all of these looks.
Start by splitting your hair in half and put it into two high ponytails, but don’t pull it all the way through.
Now, look one through the other and pin it in place.
When pinning buns, don’t open the bobby pins, just stick them in closed. It will hold the hair without collapsing the shape.
How fancy and awesome does this look? This hack is such a good one!
