Hack for Turning a Twilly Scarf Into Suspenders
There are many ways to wear your twilly scarf and they all look amazing. But here’s a way to wear it that you may not have seen before.
You’ll need a long scarf, a pair of pants with belt loops and some kind of top.
Tools and materials:
- Long twilly scarf
- Pants with belt loops
- Top
1. Tuck
Tuck your top into your pants, to expose the pants waistband and belt loops.
You can blouse the top over or tuck it in tightly, it’s up to you.
2. Thread
Find the middle of your scarf and hold it against your pants at the center front.
Starting and ending at the second loop from the front, thread your scarf through the belt loops.
Make sure you have an equal length of scarf at each side when you’ve finished.
4. Tie
Bring the ends of the scarf up the front of your top and tie them at the back of your neck, under your collar if you have one.

And voila! Smart suspenders that won’t mark your clothes.
I think this hack looks best worn with high waisted pants and a shirt, so the knot is completely hidden.
