Easy Barbie-inspired Hairstyle
Try this Barbie-inspired hairstyle with me! It’s so glam and it just screams “Barbie”!
Tools and materials:
- Comb
- Alligator clip
- Teasing brush
- Hair tie
- Bobby pins
- Metal barrette
- Clip-in ponytail
1. Clip a section of hair in the front
I’m starting off with wavy hair. Make a side part using a comb, only a few inches back on your head. Then clip a small section of hair in the front.
2. Make a slick, half ponytail
Grab hair from beyond the part line, enough to make a half ponytail, and hold it.
Slick back the hair on the other side of the part using a teasing brush, adding it to the hair you’re holding.
Tie a half ponytail, keeping the hair tight.
3. Make a spiral half bun
Twist the tail of the half ponytail around your finger and then twist it around the base of the ponytail to make a spiral bun.
Secure the ends with bobby pins.
4. Slick back the front section of hair
Remove the clip from the front and pull the section of hair tightly, holding it behind your ear. Slick it back with the teasing brush too.
Then secure the hair with a barrette.
5. Add a clip-in ponytail
Secure a clip-in ponytail on top of the bun for an extra high ponytail.
Then cover the connection by wrapping a small section of hair around the base. Pin the end in place, underneath the ponytail.
