The 9 Best Makeup Products for Over-50 Women

Today, I’m going to give you my recommendations for the best makeup products for over-50 women and how best to use them. The products I’m using are from the Look Fabulous Forever makeup line and are formulated specifically for mature skin, but you can use whichever brands you prefer.
Follow along as I take you through three skin products, three eye products, and three lip products that you can use to brighten and lift your face.
Tools and materials:
- Concealer
- Highlighter
- Blush
- Eyebrow color
- Spoolie brush
- Brow filler
- Dark eyeshadow
- Small makeup brush
- Mascara
- Lip primer
- Q-tips
- Lipstick
- Lip gloss
1. Concealer
After applying my foundation, I use a small brush to apply concealer to all the spots on my face that need a little extra coverage, like the corners of my eyes, under my eyes, my smile lines, and the age spots on my face.
I then use the warmth of my finger to pat and press the concealer into my skin.
2. Highlighter
The next product I use is one I could never do without - a highlighter. Highlighter helps add a touch of luminescence to your skin. I apply my highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, my browbones, a stripe down my nose, and in my cupid’s bow.
The highlighter on my browbones and cupid’s bow helps define the shape of my eyebrows and lips.
3. Blush
Blush is an absolutely essential product to add to your face when you’re older. Older faces tend to be pale and lacking in cheek color, so adding blush fixes that.
I use a cream blush and I apply it along my cheekbones, right under the highlighter, and up to my temples. Then, I use a brush to blend it.
4. Brow filler
Before applying any eye makeup, I use a spoolie brush to groom my eyebrows and make sure all the hairs are lying in the same direction.
Next, I apply brow filler, using light, feathery strokes. I follow my natural brow line to add shape, length, and definition.
Then, I use my spoolie brush to blend the color of the brow filler and remove any excess product. This makes my eyebrows look natural, rather than painted on.
5. Eyeliner
I’ve already applied eye primer and eyeshadow, so the next essential product I’m going to use for my eyes is eyeliner. Adding a dark color around your lash line will make your eyes look bigger, and your lashes look thicker.
I use a dark powder eyeshadow to line my eyes and a small wedge brush to apply it. I also place a cotton pad below my eye to catch any loose eyeshadow that might fall on my cheeks.
6. Mascara
Mascara is essentially the most important eye product for an older face. Mascara helps darken your lashes and frame your eyes, which makes them appear less sunken and more defined. If I had nothing else to apply to my eyes, I would at least be happy if I had mascara.
7. Lip primer
Before adding any other lip products, I apply lip primer directly below my bottom lip and directly above my top lip, right on that edge where my lips meet my skin. This helps prevent any bleeding or feathering of lip color.
Next, I use a q-tip to remove any excess primer from my lips.
8. Lipstick
After primer, I apply lipstick. The lipstick I'm using in this tutorial is a beautiful, summery fuschia color that I love, and adds a lovely brightness to my face.
9. Lip gloss
For the final touch, I add a tiny bit of lip gloss, just to the center of my lips, to make my lips appear a bit fuller.

ive been told not to wear eye shadow after 50 so I haven’t been using it but your eyes looked beautiful. I would like to try the foundation you are using because I can’t find any that doesn’t settle in wrinkles. Please tell me who makes it and the shade you use. Thank you for your tutorial
You are truly beautiful. I’ve never used half of the product’s you used. Where can I order and how do I choose the correct concealer and highlighter for myself.
