These blue swirl nails are super trendy, and the end result looks as though it's been done at a salon. But, despite their uber professional look, these swirl nails are really easy to achieve at home.

For this tutorial, I chose to use blue and white nail polish, but you can definitely mix up your color choices if you'd like to.

Follow along with this super quick tutorial to learn how to do swirls on nails. Let's get started.

Tools and materials:

  • White nail polish
  • Blue nail polish
  • Dotting tool
  • Clear topcoat
Applying nail polish

1. Apply nail polish

To kick start this swirl nails look, go over each nail with a blue and a white stripe. Try to be as neat as possible.

2. Create the swirl effect

Using a dotting tool while the polish is still wet, carefully swirl the colors together to create a mesmerizing pattern.

To make things easier, I saved my thumb for last, so I didn't smudge it while doing my other nails.

3. Apply a topcoat

To seal the design in place and add shine, don’t forget to paint a topcoat of clear polish. This will help your swirl design to last much longer.
