Easy Nail Polish Hack: How to DIY Swirl Nails
Hi everyone.
If you’re looking to spice up your gel manicure, try this nail polish hack.
Pick 2 colors of gel polish that you like together and let’s begin!
Tools and materials:
- Gel base coat
- 2 Gel colored polishes
- Dotting tool
- UV/LED nail lamp
1. Paint your base color
After applying and curing your base coat, paint on your main color as the base color. Cover the entire nail and then cure again.
2. Paint a stripe
Next, use your other gel polish color to paint a vertical strip down the center of the nail. Don’t cure it yet!
3. Make swirls
While this stripe is still wet, grab your dotting tools and make swirls on one side of the stripe by dragging the color in upward curls toward the edge of the nail.
Then repeat the same thing on the other side of the stripe.
When the design is finished, cure the nail one last time. Repeat on as many of your nails as you like.
