Quick and Easy Bubble Braids Tutorial for When You're in a Hair Rut

Stuck in a hairstyle rut again? Try out this simple, bubble braids tutorial with me!

Tools and materials:

  • Hair elastics
Tying ponytail

1. Make a small ponytail on one side of your part

Split your hair in the back down the middle and pull each half in front of each shoulder.


Collect a small amount of hair in the front, on one side of your part.


Secure it with a hair elastic. Pull gently at the tail to tighten it.


2. Add hair an make another ponytail

A few inches below your first ponytail, add a small amount of hair from either side of the tail and secure with a 2nd elastic.


Then pull to tighten.

3. Finish the bubble braid and repeat

Continue making these bubble sections with this half of your hair, making sure the distance between each is roughly the same.


The number of bubbles in the braid will depend on your hair length.


Then repeat the process with the other half of your hair.

4. Add texture and body

Add texture and body to your bubble braid by pulling at each section gently.
