Skinny jeans hold a cherished place in many women’s wardrobes, and everyone can do with a bit of fresh style inspiration from time to time.
In this style guide, I’m going to show you 19 modern and trendy skinny jeans outfits to keep you looking up-to-date. Let's get started!
1. Boots & blazer
First, I styled my black skinny jeans with tall boots. The jeans have a tight fit, so they look great under boots like these. I finished the look with a plain white t-shirt and a checkered blazer.
2. Pop of color
In this look, I kept the base monochrome and then added a pop of color with a red and white tweed blazer, and red purse. The all-black base makes the blazer stand out.
3. Black & white
Again, I’ve gone for an all-black base and, this time, added a long cream coat to show you another interpretation of the same idea. A black and white (or black and cream) look is always a winner.
4. Trench coat
Here is another play on the same theme, this time with a beige trench coat. I’ve gone for a different pair of footwear in each of these looks to show you how you can vary the monochrome base.
5. Dark bottom, light top
In this outfit, I wanted to keep it dark on the bottom and light up top; the dark bottom half gives me an elongated appearance.
6. Black bottom, white top
Here I opted for black skinny jeans and a white blazer because, as I already said, it’s a classic and winning combination. Black and white are best friends.
7. Tight & loose
This is another take on a black and white outfit. The untucked shirt and flowy fit of the coat contrast nicely with the tightness of the jeans and create a proportional look.
8. Neutrals
When you have a lot of neutral pieces in your wardrobe, you can really just mix and match them and create endless combinations. This cream coat works just as nicely as the black one does.
9. Casual vs formal
For a mix of casual and formal elements, opt for some biker-style boots and a shirt and blazer combo. I’ve rolled up the cuffs of the shirt, and this outfit strikes the perfect smart-casual balance.
10. Minimalist
For a chic, minimalist look, keep it super simple with an unticked white shirt, black heels, and a beige trench coat. This is effortless dressing at its best.
11. Subtle stripes
I’m a fan of minimalist pieces, but I like to creep in some subtle print with blouses like this. The stripes add some character, yet the neutral colors mean that they don't stand out too much.
12. Blouse & sweater
In the previous look, I layered the sweater over my shoulders, and here, I popped it on top of the blouse. Keeping the cuffs and the bottom sticking out keeps this outfit laid-back and relaxed.
13. Beige, black & brown
I layered beige on beige in this outfit to really feature the color strongly. As the beige, black, and brown are all neutral colors, they pair together seamlessly.
14. Skinny jeans as officewear
A blazer instantly dresses up a look and adds a formal edge to it, and that’s exactly what I’ve done here. The blazer is layered on top of a white sweater and creates a workwear-appropriate look.
15. Cozy winter chic
For a snug winter look, opt for a pair of tall boots, a cozy sweater, and a long coat that you can wrap up warm in. Here I’ve pulled together a look that is both functional and fashionable at the same time.
16. Tweed
This outfit would be good for wearing indoors when the weather is colder. The white sweater ties in nicely with the white tone on the tweed jacket, and the two pieces make a stunning combination.
17. Floral prints
I’ve gone for a printed piece (this time a floral blouse) and added a cream coat over the top, which ties in with the similar shades on the blouse. You can make your printed pieces look harmonious by tying them in with another color in your outfit.
18. Out-the-door polish
This outfit is a go-to choice when you need to be out the door in a hurry. Simply throw on a black button-down shirt and a white blazer, and you’ve instantly got yourself a put-together look. Loafers add a polished finish to this outfit.
19. Feminine in heels
A great way to add a feminine touch to your skinny jeans is by pairing them with heels. Heels elongate your appearance by making you appear tall and slim. A long coat adds to the lengthy look.
