Nap Dress Dilemmas
The “nap dress”, coined by Hill House Home, that was so popular last year as the pandemic hit is not going anywhere this season. Also referred to as the day dress or beach dress these shapeless dresses have been around for a long time and have made a resurgence over the course of the pandemic as they are dressy enough to go out in but relaxed enough to wear all day at home instead of Athleisure.
As a body shape expert, I admit these shapeless dresses can be a bit tricky but let’s keep in mind that they’re meant for lounging and leisure. They’re meant to be effortless, easy and comfortable! I am all for embracing all of those things as the setting permits. It’s a great option for those days or seasons in life when you don’t want anything restrictive or tight around your abdomen yet don’t have the option or prefer not to spend your day in loungewear.
Switch up your shoes and accessories and you have an effortless easy outfit that can take you from an outdoor get together to brunch to a patio for drinks. I recommend paying close attention to the style notes and reviews and size down if suggested. I would wear it daily versye my housecoat I usually have on. All that is needed is at least 1 patch pocket on the front of it to hold used tissues etc.
