Five Ways to Style a Denim Mini Skirt

A denim mini skirt is a staple piece for every woman to have in her wardrobe. I know that it can be so easy to fall into the trap of having great pieces like this just sitting in your wardrobe and not pull them out and make the most out of them. If you want to take this piece from simple to special and get tons of wearability out of it, you’ve come to the right place. Take a look at these five looks I’ve created with my denim mini skirt.
Fan-girl fashion
With this look, I’m keeping it casual with a Bowie t-shirt and black sneakers. I’ve tucked in the tee to accentuate my waistline because even when you dress casually, you still want to wear things that will enhance your best features. You can still dress down without compromising on your style.
Silky chic
This silky white cami top with the denim mini is a flawless pairing. Silky materials are so luxurious and opulent, making them great to wear with denim, a more everyday material. I’ve paired this outfit with a shoulder bag and sneakers, and we have an elevated everyday look.
Oversized blazer
Oversized, loose-fitting blazers are a very on-trend piece right now. Goodbye fitted tailoring, hello slouchy silhouettes. The blazer combined with the cami top, mini skirt, and strappy heels seamlessly blends feminine and masculine elements together to create a gorgeous look.
The A Game
A is for asymmetrical, obviously. An asymmetrical top is an effortless way to elevate your outfit. The striking bow over-the-shoulder feature adds an element of interest, and of course, black and white is a combination you can’t go wrong with. Pair with strappy heels, and you’re ready to party.
The tie-waist top
A tie waist top emphasizes your waistline and is a flattering piece no matter what you wear it with. Don’t go too heavy on the accessories when wearing a top like this because you don’t want to detract attention from the gorgeous waistline.
Statement sleeves
A white shirt and a denim mini by themselves would hardly be something to write home about, but add some statement sleeves and ooh là là you have yourself something special. I’m in love with these flared-wrist sleeves, they’re a tad unconventional, and that’s what makes them so stylish.
I hope you like the five looks that I’ve put together as much as I do. Think of a denim skirt as a blank canvas; there are so many different directions you can go in when it comes to styling one. As the skirt is simple, you’re going to want your top, shoes, and accessories to do the work in this outfit and really dress the skirt up. Happy styling!
