  • Concealer
  • Makeup sponge
  • Makeup brushes
  • Eyebrow gel
  • Lip plumper (or oil, chapstick, moisturizer)

  • Blush
  • Setting spray
  • Lip liner
  • Lipstick
Prepping skin

1. Prep your skin with a primer

Start with clean, moisturized skin, and apply a primer all over your face.

Filling in brows

2. Fill in your brows

Trace the bottom of your eyebrow with an eyebrow pencil and then fill in the sparse areas.

Filling in brows

Use a spoolie to brush the hairs up and diffuse the pencil.

Applying concealer

3. Apply concealer

If you’re in between shades like me, mix two similar shades of concealer.

Apply it to your under eyes, eyelids, and anywhere you have redness or spots. Tap it in with your fingers.

Applying foundation

4. Apply foundation

Use a damp sponge to apply foundation all over your face. Don’t forget to blend it down your neck.

Setting face makeup

5. Set your face makeup

Use a translucent setting powder and a big, flat brush to set your eyes and t-zone well.

Setting face makeup

Use a big, fluffy brush to set the rest of your face and neck.

Setting brows

6. Set your brows

Use eyebrow gel to brush the hairs up and set them into place.

Prepping lips

7. Prep your lips

I applied lip plumper to prep my lips, but you can use lip oil, chapstick, or a good moisturizer.

Adding bronzer to eyes

8. Apply bronzer to eyes

Use a small, fluffy brush to apply bronzer from the outer corner of your eye. Sweep it up towards your eyebrow.

Then apply it back across the lid slightly above the crease. Leave the center of the lid bare.

Adding bronzer to eyes

Add a little bit of bronzer under your lower lash line.

Applying highlighter

9. Apply highlighter to eyes

Use your finger to apply highlighter to the inner corner of your eyes and just under the tail of your eyebrows.

Lining eyes

10. Line your upper lash line

Line your upper lash line with a soft black eyeliner pencil.

I also added a thin wing on the outer corner by following my lower lash line, but this is totally optional.

Adding mascara

11. Apply mascara to curled lashes

Curl your lashes with a lash curler, then apply mascara to your top and bottom lashes.

Contouring face

12. Contour your face

Use your bronzer with a tapered fluffy brush to contour just under your cheekbones, the sides of your forehead, and then under your chin and jawline.

Contouring nose

13. Contour your nose

Another optional step is to nose contour with a small dense brush. I do mine on the tip by adding bronzer to the sides and under the tip.

Contouring nose

Then apply it to the bridge with two parallel vertical lines down either side.

Applying blush

14. Apply blush

Grab some light pink blush and a fluffy brush and apply it in a c-shape from your brow bone to the apples of your cheeks just above the bronzer.

Applying blush

Also apply a little bit on your chin, under the tip of your nose, and on the bridge.

Adding highlight

15. Apply highlight to your face

Apply highlight with a small, fluffy brush to the tops of your cheekbones.

Adding highlight

Use your finger to apply it to the tip and bridge of your nose, and above your upper lip.

Applying setting spray

16. Set

Apply setting spray all over your face.

Applying magnetic eyeliner

17. Apply lashes

I’m using magnetic lashes, so I’m going to apply magnetic eyeliner and then the lashes afterward.

Wiping lips

18. Clean your lips

Wipe away whatever prep you added to your lips in step 7 with a tissue.

Lining lips

19. Apply lip liner

Apply red lip liner. Overdraw your top lip in the center and round out your cupid’s bow.

Make sure to get the corners of your mouth.

Adding lipstick

20. Apply liquid lipstick

I used two because I found the first to be a bit too cool-toned for me, so I layered over it with an orange-red to warm it up.
