How to Make an Easy DIY Rhinestone Fringe Jacket
Today, we are going to add a little bit of bling to this blazer. This DIY rhinestone fringe jacket is a fun and easy upcycle so, without further ado, let’s jump into this super easy tutorial.
Tools and materials:
- Blazer jacket
- Rhinestone chain
- Scissors
- Glue
1. Adding the rhinestone chain to the front of the jacket
To start, you're going to need some e6000 glue as well as some crystal rhinestone chain. You're also going to need some scissors.
Start off by putting some e6000 glue on the collar of the jacket. Then, work your way down from there, adding more glue and sticking down the rhinestone chain as you go.
Feel free to add as much or as little bling as you would like.
2. Adding the rhinestone fringe
For the fringe part of this DIY rhinestone jacket, I'm first checking to see how long I want my fringe to hang.
I'm not going to do mine as long as I probably would have, just because I am running low on rhinestone chain. If you have more rhinestone chain, feel free to go crazy with it!
Then, I’m going to cut the rhinestone chain up, checking as I go that all the pieces are the same length.
Then, right where the seam line is, I’m going to add a dab of glue. Make sure at least three of the rhinestones from each rhinestone chain piece are stuck into a dab of glue. This will prevent the rhinestone chain pieces from falling off.
3. Leave to dry
Once you’ve created your rhinestone fringe, leave the glue to dry for 24 hours before you wear or wash it.
