In this tutorial, we’re going to show you how to make cream blush. This DIY blush is great for the spring and summer, and it’s the perfect all-in-one.

You can use it as a blush, on your lips, and even as an eyeshadow. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Soy wax
  • Shea butter
  • Aloe vera
  • Cornstarch
  • Beet powder
  • Pot/bowl
  • Jar/container
Soy wax

1. Add soy wax to a small pot

Add ½-1 teaspoon of soy wax. We love using soy wax over regular wax.

Shea butter

2. Add shea butter

Add 1 teaspoon of shea butter. Shea butter is very moisturizing.

Melting ingredients

3. Melt the ingredients

The soy wax and shea butter need to be melted. We’re going to melt it over a candle, but you can do this in the microwave or on the stovetop.

Mixing ingredients

4. Mix the rest of the ingredients

Mix 1 tablespoon of aloe vera, ½ teaspoon of cornstarch, and beet powder into a bowl.

Aloe vera is another moisturizing factor like shea butter.

Beet powder will give your blush a rich pinkish color, but there are a lot of different powders you can use to get the color you want.

Combining all ingredients

5. Add everything together

Add the aloe vera mixture to the melted shea butter and soy wax and mix everything until it’s fully melted and mixed.

Transferring mixture

6. Store and let it cool

You can find a jar, a tube, or even an old blush container to store the mixture in. Leave it to harden.

We left ours for only 20 minutes, but we highly recommend you leave it overnight to completely harden.

Applying blush

7. Test it out

It’ll go on really red at first, but don’t be scared. Just blend it out and it’ll be the perfect shade.
