Do 2 Braids and Add Bows or Clips
Here’s a quick and easy style that adds something special to a braid. Instead of one simple braid, make two and let them swing together.
Add butterfly clips, bows or anything else you have handy.
This is a great style for long, slightly wavy hair.
Best bow claw clips!
Tools and materials:
- 2 hair ties
- 2 butterfly clips or bows
1. Section your hair
Smooth all your hair back behind your shoulders.
Use your fingers to separate it into three sections, one in the center and one either side.
2. Make the first braid
Take the center section first, and separate it into three strands.
Starting low at the back of your head, braid the section as normal
Add a hair tie to hold it in position.
3. Make another braid
Pick up both the side sections and hold them together above the braided hair.
Divide the free hair into three strands.
Make a second braid with these strands.
Start from above the first braid so that the new braid sits on top of it..
Keep the two braids separate. They should be about the same thickness.
Fasten the second one with a hair tie.
4. Decorate
Clip your decorations to the end of each braid.
I used butterfly clips, but clip-on bows would also look pretty.
Do 2 braids and add bows or clips
The finished look is very feminine. I love the way the two butterflies move together.
You could also add ribbons to the braids as you make them and tie them off at the ends.
