This tutorial is all about how to do eyebrows over 50. Seriously, what is up with our eyebrows once we get a little older? I wake up in the morning and they’re all over the place! I definitely need to keep an eye on them so much more than when I was younger. Here's what you can do.

Tools and materials:

  • Brow pomade
  • Brow powder palette
  • Eyebrow pencil
  • Brow mascara
  • Angled makeup brush
  • Q-Tip
  • Spoolie
How to shape eyebrows for older ladies

1. Apply pomade

Get some of the pomade on your angled brush and start from the bottom base of your brow and work your way towards the end of your brow, creating a line. This will create a nice shape for your brow.

Once there is less product on the brush I use it to gently fill in my eyebrows.

Brush your brows with a spoolie to really work the pomade into your brow. This will even out the color and the shape.

2. Clean up the product

Run a Q-Tip along the top and side of your brow to pick up any product that fell there while brushing out your brows.

3. Fill in the gaps

Apply brow powder from a powder palette onto an angled brush. Use the brush to fill in any gaps or spots you may have missed with the pomade.

You can also use the powder to shape the front of your eyebrows because it's a lighter color, so it’s less harsh.

Clean the fallen product again with a Q-Tip.

4. Apply brow pencil

Use an eyebrow pencil and very gently add a tail to your brows.

As I've got older, the tail of my brow has become thinner and thinner, so this step is very important for me.

Setting brows with brow gel

5. Set your brows

Apply the brow gel very gently by brushing the spoolie through your brow. This will really set your brows for the day.
