Grab a Silk Scarf and Upgrade Your Braid Like This
Want to know how to upgrade a simple braid? This tutorial is for you.
Here, I will teach you how to incorporate a silk scarf into a plait.
Tools and materials:
- Silk scarf
- Hair elastic
1. Create half-ponytail
Tie a section of your hair into a half ponytail with an elastic.
2. Twist the ponytail
Pick the ponytail up, twist it through the hole at the top and then bring it down to create a twisted ponytail look.
3. Cross hair over
Pick hair up from one side, and bring it over the half ponytail and to the other side of your head.
4. Tuck hair under
Tuck that section of hair under the hair on the other side.
5. Cross hair over
Pick up hair from the other side of your head and bring it across your hair.
6. Tuck hair under
Then tuck that section of hair under the hair of the ponytail on the other side.
7. Add the scarf
Thread your scarf through your hair.
8. Plait your hair
Plait the rest of your hair, incorporating the scarf into it. Tie it off when you get to the end.

Here is the finished look. I adore the twists at the top - they almost look like a horizontal braid.
The plait with the scarf in it looks gorgeous, and I love how it hangs down at the end.
This hairstyle was very easy to achieve, there is no excuse not to try it!

I personally do not care for it, but that's just me. Maybe if it could be started from the middle at the beginning, so it doesn't look lopsided. She has very beautiful hair though!
