If you’re planning on going to the lake, the beach, or even a public pool this summer, you need this Dollar Tree hack!


A towel slung over your shoulder can ruin your outfit and having to carry a soggy towel after a long day in the water isn’t fun.

Tools and materials:

  • Nautical rope
Buying rope

Let’s remedy that! All you need is a simple nautical rope.


You can find this rope at your local Dollar Tree, and it’s the perfect accessory to turn your towel into a carrying tote.

Creating loop

1. Create a loop

Start by crossing one end over and then under the rope to create a loop.

Pulling rope through loop

2. Pull the rope through the loop

Pull the long end of the rope through the loop.

Tightening

3. Tighten

Tighten to create the knot.

Knotted rope

4. Repeat on the other end

Repeat steps 1-3 on the other end of the rope.

Rolling towel

5. Roll the towel into a cylinder

Fold your towel in half and then roll it into a small, cylindrical shape. 

Putting towel into the loops

6. Put the towel into the loops

Put the towel inside of the two loops and then tighten each knot flush against the towel.

DIY rope holder

This is the Dollar Tree hack of the summer!

That’s it! This trick lets you carry your towel as if it’s just a bag. It acts as a cute accessory to your summer outfits too.
