Like It or Not, This DIY is the Most Unique Purse You've Ever Seen
Like it or not, this DIY is the most unique purse you’ve ever seen.
I had some synthetic ivy decor in my room that I didn’t really want to leave hanging anymore.
I love upcycling, so I decided to get creative and use the ivy in a crocheting project.
Tools and materials:
- String
- Synthetic ivy
- Crocheting needle
- Scissors
1. Start making a bag
I started crocheting a bag with a twine color string that complimented the ivy nicely.
Once I had a few rows going it was time to incorporate the ivy. You can try this project with whichever color string you like.
You can also use a different synthetic plant if you’d like to.
2. Stitch in the branches
Make single crochet stitches around the plastic branch to secure the ivy on the bag.
Make sure the leaves are facing one side. They will decorate the outside of the bag.
3. Create the rest of the bag
Now you should have one square of crocheted fabric that looks like the leaves are growing out of it.
Crochet the other side of the bag and the handles and you’ve got a gorgeous and truly unique bag.
DIY ivy purse
I just love how this project came out. It feels so good to get creative and find new uses for old items.
Try it at home and leave me a comment to let me know how it comes out.
