Headbands can be a pain to wear sometimes when they don’t sit nicely on your head, and you find your hair slipping around all over the place.

Fear no more because here I’m going to show you an amazing headband hack for a clean look.

Tools and materials:

  • Headband
  • Hair clip
  • Hair elastics
Clipped hair

1. Clip hair at the front of your head

Start by parting your hair down the center. Then, take a small section of hair from either side of the front of your head and clip the two sections of hair together at the bottom.

Adding headband

2. Put headband on

Now, put your headband on, leaving the two sections of hair that you clipped together in front of the headband.

Tying hair

3. Tie hair on one side

Remove the clip, take the hair on one side, and join it with a small section of hair behind the headband.

Then, tie them together with a clear elastic.

Flipping hair

4. Flip hair through gap

Leave a gap above the elastic and proceed to flip your ponytail through the gap to create a fishtail look. Then, tighten the elastic.

Tying hair

5. Repeat

Repeat these steps on the other side of your head to create a symmetrical look.

Here is the finished look! As you can see, my hair conceals the hair elastics that we added, so you can’t see them.

I love how the headband and my hair are securely in place, so I don’t have to worry about things moving around.

I hope you love this headband hack as much as I do!
