How Do I Add Flowers to Melt and Pour Soap? Try This Technique

How do you add flowers to melt and pour soap? Well, in this floral melt and pour soap tutorial, I'll show you how! These soaps are super fragrant and gentle on the skin. They look so professional and beautiful, but are really easy to make!
Tools and materials:
- Clear melt and pour soap
- Measuring glass
- Fragrance oil
- Dried flowers
- Alcohol spray
- Silicone molds
1. Prepare the soap base
Cut the clear melt and pour soap base into chunks and place in a bowl.
Tip: always dice your soap base when you are using a melt and pour soap base. This will help it melt more smoothly in the microwave.
2. Measure out the soap base
Add 750 grams (26.5 ounces) of your clear soap base to a large measuring glass.
3. Melt the soap base
Place the measuring glass in the microwave and let it run in thirty-second intervals until the soap base is all melted. Make sure to mix the soap base in between each thirty-second interval.
4. Clean the molds
While your soap is in the microwave, thoroughly clean your silicone soap molds. You want to make sure that there are no particles of dirt that may come through in the end result.
5. Take out the bubbles
Spray your melted soap with alcohol spray to take out any bubbles.
6. Pour in the scent
Pour in the fragrance oil of your choice and mix.
7. Pour the soap into the molds
Pour the soap mixture into the molds, filling each space a little over halfway.
Tip: remember to spray the soap mixture with alcohol again.
8. Add in the flowers
Place your dried flower of choice into each mold by sprinkling it over the top. I'm using chamomile and marigold flowers.
9. Finish the molds
Once you place the flowers inside all the soaps, finish filling the molds to the top with the rest of the soap mixture. Spray the molds with the alcohol spray as you go.
Tip: another method of pouring the soap into the molds is first putting in the flowers and then pouring the soap mixture on top.
10. Let it set
Let the soap set for around three hours.
