Easy Makeup Tutorial: How to Do Inner Corner Eyeliner
If you have extra skin in your inner and outer corners, you might find that it prevents you from extending your liner in the inner corner.
Here, I'm going to be showing you a super quick technique to get that sharp inner corner using the triangle method.
If you want to know how to do inner corner eyeliner, this is for you.
Tools and materials:
- Brow hair remover
- Brow pencil
- Concealer
- Makeup brushes
- Nail art brush
- Translucent powder
- Stencil eyeshadow tool
- Black eyeshadow
- Gel eyeliner
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
1. Remove hair
The skin in the inner corner area is so sensitive, so you should never pluck or wax in that area.
Take a brow hair remover, very lightly pull your skin (just enough to tighten that area), and then proceed to remove the hair - it is completely pain-free.
2. Fill in brows
Start filling in the sparse areas at the top of your brows, then brush your brow hair up with a spoolie and fill in the bottom.
3. Apply concealer
Next, go in with some concealer that matches your skin tone to clear up underneath the brows. Then apply concealer to your lids as well.
4. Set concealer
So that the concealer doesn’t settle into your fine lines and crease, set your eyelids with a translucent powder.
5. Shade outer corner
Take a stencil eyeshadow tool and place it in the outer corner of your eye.
Pick up some black eyeshadow on a blending brush and shade in the outer corner, slowly pushing it towards the lid and softening it.
Don’t take too much product at once, but try to layer it until you're happy with the intensity.
6. Clean up edges
Clean up the edges by taking some concealer on a nail art brush to get a precise, sharp line.
7. Apply eyeliner to outer corner
I recommend not using a liquid liner in the inner because it is going to bleed. You want to use a gel eyeliner instead.
Pick up the product on a nail art brush as this will allow you to draw fine strokes.
First, pull out a small wing in the outer corner. Trace along the straight outer edge and then join it to your lash line.
8. Apply eyeliner to inner corner
Then pull out a straight line from your inner corner, then join the tip to the upper and lower water lines in a triangle manner.
Proceed to lightly drag the brush along your lower waterline, fading it off.
9. Apply mascara
Finish up the look by curling your lashes and applying mascara

The stencil has given me a clean, sharp edge that helps to create a soft smoky wing in the very outer corner.
Then I have a really sharp triangle in my inner corner which adds some gorgeous definition.
