How to Style a Lob: 6 Easy Long Bob Hairstyles

I've recently had to learn how to style a lob! I used to have very long hair, but cut my own hair into a long bob about six months ago. Since then, I've had such fun playing around with long bob hairstyles and wanted to share my six favorites with you.
So, here are six different ways to style a lob that are super-easy and look super-cute too.
Tools and materials:
- Comb
- Hairpins
- Hair elastics
- Decorative hair accessories
Lob hairstyle 1
Take a small section of hair from the top center of your head and remove a few strands of hair from the front. Divide the remaining hair into three equal sections.
Begin braiding these three sections of hair by taking the section on the right and pushing it under the middle section. Now do the same with the section on the left.
Continue braiding in this way, adding a little more hair from the side of your head and pushing it under to the middle each time. Keep pulling the braid tight so it will lay nice and smoothly.
Continue braiding until you reach the bottom of the original center section of hair and secure it at the bottom with a hair elastic.
To even it out, you can lift some of the sections in the back as necessary. You can also remove a few more strands of hair from the front.

Create a part on top of your head in a zig-zag pattern.
Now, take a small section of hair from the left side of your head near the top and make a simple braid, securing it at the bottom with a rubber band. Make a similar braid on the right side of your head.
You can either leave these braids hanging straight or you can wrap them to the back of your head, secure them with hairpins, and remove the hair elastics.
This long bob hairstyle is a great way to keep hair out of your face while wearing your hair down.
Lob hairstyle 3
Pull all of your hair into a high ponytail and secure it with a hair elastic. If you have some stray hair that escaped the ponytail, just pull it back up and secure it with hairpins.
Wrap a hairband or head wrap around the ponytail at the very top.
Play around with hair accessories, such as hair bows and ribbons, to perfect this cute look.
Lob hairstyle 4
Separate sections of hair on both sides of your head in front of your ears. Secure the rest of the hair at the back of your head with a large hair clip.
Pull a hairband over your head and pull the front of the hair band up to the top of your head, tucked behind your ears.
If you prefer having all of your hair pulled back, then don’t separate out the side sections before putting on the headband.

Lob hairstyle 5
Make a deep side part in your hair. Take a section of hair from the other side of your head at the front.
Then gather all the rest of your hair and secure it at the back of your head.
Separate a small section of hair from the section you previously took and start making a thin braid with it. Continue to braid this section of hair, adding more hair in from your hairline as you go.
Continue until you reach your ear, then continue braiding, without adding any more hair, until you reach the bottom.
Lift a section of hair from behind the braid. Pull the end of the braid under that section of hair and secure it with a hairpin.
I really love this elegant long bob hairstyle.
Lob hairstyle 6
Take a section of hair from your front hairline and pull it straight back.
Now, twist the section of hair at the back of your head. Push the hair on top of your head up and forward until you get some height and secure it with hairpins.
If you want, you can add a bow at the back of your head over the pins.

Most definitely!
Yes cute styles. I am an older woman letting my hair grow out. Trying to get length on the front so I can try some of these styles. Will try some braiding on top, and use pins and see what happens. Thanks for your hair styles.
